The Kingdom Come Superman was added to the Superheroes Unlimited during the abandoned 5.0's alpha stages. Due to his years of exposure to the sun, this version of Superman had overcome his weakness to Kryptonite.
Reforming the Justice League, he fought against the brutality of Magog, one of the "superheroes" that had taken his place, and the schemes of his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor. Distancing himself from humanity, Superman became active again after the new heroes accidently destroyed Kansas in a battle with his enemy Parasite. First appearing in Kingdom Come #1 (May 1996), it was worn by the Man of Steel after he lost his closest friends and colleagues to an attack orchestrated by the Joker. The Superman (Kingdom Come) suit belongs to an alternative version of Superman in the designated Earth-22.
